Yaojun Qiao is a professor of optical transmission system Lab, School of Information and Communication Engineering, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications(BUPT). He received the B.S. degree from Hebei Normal University, in 1994, the M.S. degree from Jilin University, in 1997, and the Ph.D. degree from the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), in 2000. He had worked in Lucent and Fujitsu from 2000 to 2007. After 2007, he joined BUPT,where he is currently a Professor. His current research interests include optical fiber communication system and network, Visible light communication(VLC).

He has co-authored more than 110 journal and conference papers. He has directed several national and enterprise projects in optical fiber communication systemand network.

Teaching experience in recent 3 years

1.     Undergraduate teaching  in recent 3 years

1)       《Digital Circuit and Logic Design》（English Course）,undergraduate professional basic course, 3 hours per week, 3 sessions, the total number of three years about 300 students;

2)       《Broadband Access Technology》, undergraduate professional course, 2 hours per week, 5 sessions, the total number of three years about 500 students;

2.     Graduate teaching  in recent 3years

1)       《Access Network Technology and Applications》(English course), profession basic course/degree course for overseas graduate students,2 hours per week, 2 sessions, the total number of students in the two years is 32.

2)       《High-speed Broadband Internet Technologies》, degree course for master and Ph.D students, 2 hours per week, 3 sessions, the total number of students in the 3 years is about 150.

3.     Undertake practice education in recent 3years

1)       Professional Intern Coaching: the total numberof students is 120.

2)       Undergraduate Innovation Projects: 7projects, about 30 students involved.

3)       Graduation design / Thesis: the totalnumber of guided students is 15.
